Gastric Bypass

Change your life, get a Gastric Bypass for excellent health and a graceful body

Gastric Bypass surgery in Turkey is a surgical procedure whereby the size of the patient’s stomach is reduced. It works on attaching the upper part of the stomach and immediately diverting it to the small intestine so the food will go only to the upper section of the stomach. Thus, when the patient eats a small portion of food, he will immediately feel full as if his stomach was filled with plenty of food. This procedure takes between 2-4 hours.

The gastric bypass operation has three main stages:

    • Anesthesia stage: At this stage, the patient is given general anesthesia to protect the patient from feeling any kind of pain during the operation.
    • Sleeve gastrostomy stage: At this stage, the doctor sleeves the upper section of the stomach, which is a relatively small section that can accommodate up to 28 grams of the food. Thus, the food will go directly, without passing by the larger lower section which will force the patient to only eat small amounts of food.
    • Gastric transformation stage: At this stage, the doctor transfers the upper part of the stomach directly to the small intestine and connects them through a small hole to allow the food to pass to the small intestine.
